Erin snagged the bedroom's hook rug from a yard sale, at the
bargain price of $20. Before dragging it into her abode, she
dragged it off to the Laundromat and ran it through two cycles
of a mega washer with Woolite, to purge the dust and bugs. To
cover the holes in one area of the rug, she used a couple of
baskets -- which also served double duty as storage.

Over the bed, Erin hung inexpensive white shelves. The shelves
offered the perfect spot to rotate some pressed seaweed specimens
that she'd collected along the beach. The art on
the walls, meanwhile, were mostly prints from a floral calendar
that she found at Salvation Army. > |
