4 Measure half-way across the album, and draw a vertical line from the bottom 3/8" line. Mark every 1-5/8" along the line.

Your pieces should all look like this :

To make things clearer, here's a pattern:

assembly
1
Attach the horizontal shelf to the back piece. You have two choices at this point —the front of the cover can be used as either the inside or the outside of the box. We're going to work with the front of the cover as the outside the box. Line up the shelf along the horizontal halfway line of eyelets that you've made on the back of the full album cover.
2 Cut off 2-3 feet of lanyard. Knot one end twice, and starting from the bottom of the shelf, weave the two pieces together. The easiest way is to pull the lanyard through the backpiece, through the shelf, and back out through the same backpiece grommet. This should create a solid line of lanyard across the back of the box, and tiny stitches inside. When you come to the end, hold the shelf in its final, 90 degree position, tighten the "stitches" and knot it inside the box (you can tie it to the previous "stitch" or just tie two knots.) Don't worry if your shelf is a bit floppy. The other pieces will hold it together.

but wait: still more this way!
