Eve says she’d had “a mishap" with the doors on the original cabinets after painting them with oil-based paint. She'd initially covered them completely with contact paper, but after finding some heavy-duty zebrawood-patterned vinyl adhesive paper, Eve cut out uniform strips to make cool stripes. As she notes: “They ended up looking so modern, I'm really happy with them.” The addition of sleek long handles [IKEA’s Lansa handles], meanwhile, nicely echoes the strong vertical lines of the cabinets themselves. >
