confessions of a perpetual packrat | When we first started decking out the digs, I had these grand visions of 60s space age digs that were just the right combination of sleek and kitsch. We snatched up every retro orb lamp we stumbled across during thrift shop excursions -- which turned out to be quite a lot -- and soon, an obsession was born. The living room alone has at least 6 lamps in it it, in addition to the overhead track lights. Sleek has since gone out the window, as we've accumulated more and more objects we love far too much to pitch.  >
