5 Take the finished (i.e.: non-fraying) end of one sheet, and fold over 1" (fig. 3). Using the straight stitch on the sewing machine, stitch along the width of the fabric,leaving ˝" or so at either end un-stitched (fig.4). Repeat this step with the second sheet.

6 Cut the velcro lengths into thirds. Tip: Stick the loop side and the fuzzy side together and cut.

7 Position the loop sides of the velcro strips across sheet 1, leaving at least 1.25" at either side and in such a way that the strips are evenly spaced (fig. 5).

Using the colored pencil, draw a line at each end of each strip to mark placement (fig. 6).

8 Sew strips into place using a straight stitch (fig. 7).

Line up sheet 1 with sheet 2, as they’d be when joined [outside of both sheets facing up, fig. 8).

Line up fuzzy sides of velcro strips along sheet 2 in such a way that it matches up with the strips on sheet 1. Mark placement and sew with a straight stitch.
